My 4th healing course – liver, heart and more.
This weekend was absolutely amazing. The temperature was perfect for an energy-filled healing experience that concluded many sections that we have been studying for a while. Firstly it concluded all the muscle testing and secondly the shen cycle as we did both the wood element as well as the fire element. The wood element is the liver and gall bladder and the fire element the heart, pericardium, small intestine and triple warmer.
Today I will give you a brief overview of these and tomorrow a look at the other interesting balances we did inbetween. Please remember that I share as I learn to make a difference and am NOT a medical doctor.
Wood is the symbol of rebirth and spring which is rejuvenation. People with strong livers and gallbladders can thus make complex life decisions, do strategic planning and find ways to make the plans happen. These people are also good with change and flexibility as the liver nourishes the tendons which give the body flexibility. The liver nourishes the nails and eyes. The liver stores blood and regulates the amount in circulation. Deficiency of liver blood leads to muscle spasms and convulsions. Blurred vision could be a result of liver deficiency (or spleen deficiency as discussed in a previous blog).
There are many emotions influenced by the liver, such as mental depression or -excitement, paranoia or weeping. Anger is an emotion that consumes the liver energy and leads to depression and fatigue. Try not to get angry. Vascular diseases are related to the blood vessels, which are part of the circulatory system but governed by the liver. So you can see that anger can lead to heart problems. The liver can be the cause of sleeplessness, dizziness, chest pain (pressure) or nausea and vomiting. Absence of menstruation could also point to the liver.
Other problems relating to the liver are ingrown toenails (LOL! I kid you not), gout in the big toe, medial knee pain, low sperm count, fungal-, viral- and parasite infections. Remember, however, that knee pain can be caused by toxins leaking from the colon or by the kidneys as well. If wounds will not heal the liver could be the culprit. Sleeping pills, pain pills, anti-depressants and antibiotics all affect the liver. Pain is treated with pills creating liver problems which leads to more pain and perpetuates the cycle, making the problem the doctor is trying to treat with Western medicine (drugs) worse. What a vicious cycle…..
Fire is the heart which is the main force for blood circulation and dominates the blood and vessels on the face. It is a logical deduction then that excess heart energy (chi) will present a rosy complexion and lack of it a pale one. It is said that the mind is housed in the function of the heart. The heart health can be seen on the tongue (which is the mirror to the heart) and influences the sense of taste and speech. In the event of a heart attack, once the patient is breathing and conscious, of course, a mixture of 1 teaspoon each of epsom salts and ginger, 1/2 teaspoon of cayenne pepper and some honey or sugar (very important!). This must be mixed with 1/2 cup of hot water and fed to the patient by teaspoon or given to him to drink. The epsom salts will relax the arteries and the ginger and cayenne pepper are anti-clotting and will stimulate and push the blood through. Do this while you are waiting for the ambulance or as soon as you can. Pressure can also be applied to the small pinkie finger points by biting, pinching or even lancing it as the heart meridian ends there.
The pericardium is the membrane surrounding the heart and has totally different muscle tests to the muscles used to test the heart. I would have thought they would be the same but they are not. Interesting. The small intestine can trigger a heart attack when it is under strain, which I suppose is the reason why some people have a heart attack directly after a heavy meal.
The triple warmer, I must admit, I had never heard of until this weekend. It is divided into 3 parts and I have included a picture that you can click on to enlarge to view it.The upper section works with the lungs and heart to distribute the chi of water and food to the whole body. The middle section has to do with digestion and the bottom one deals with the waste products and all the functions and organs related to that process. The muscles used to test these are also indicators for the thyroid and adrenal glands. As a matter of interest, chloride from tap water and swimming pool water binds with iodine found in seaweed, fish or shellfish leading to a deficiency of iodine and thyroid problems. This is another one of those things that doctors never tell you – stay away from tap water or one of the results could be thyroid problems. Remember if you have thyroid problems to heal the colon as I mentioned in the blog on earth elements, or else the thyroid will not improve. Adrenalin junkies will develop problems later on as they burn out and their body collapses, causing much stiffness and joint pain. Adrenalin is released (cortisol and glucose, I think) to survive in life-threatening situations and not for leisure, pleasure or extreme sports.
This next weekend I will be learning about the herbs related to the wood element and will pass on this information in a blog to enable you to strengthen the liver and gall bladder.
Tomorrow I will write on some other balances like the 14 muscle balance and the in depth cross crawl integration. I will try to explain two other balances as well, regarding diffusing genetic interests and then a very deep integration of deep-seated emotional patterns and reactions.
When I learn new things on this healing course, it helps me to write a little on them to get clarity. If I told you I didn`t get confused and need time to digest and process these things I would be lying. I will suffice to say that you can teach an old dog new tricks, even if they are pushing 50 next year. Until next time…. cut right down on all the unnecessary pain pills, sleeping tablets, tap water and control that anger. I think I will resort to chocolate from now on…..
